Ed Wolf

My full name is Dwight Edward "Ed" Wolf.  I graduated from Leesburg High School in 1964 and the University of Florida in 1968.  I married Irish Cason and moved to Wildwood in December of 1968.

I worked for the Sumter County Board of Public Instruction as a teacher, athletic director, and coach at Wildwood Middle School for 34 years and retired after 35 years in teaching.

Having served on the Wildwood City Commission since 1976 and as Mayor for the past 30 years, I have seen Wildwood grow from a small railroad town to a small city with unlimited potential.

Wildwood is very fortunate to have assembled a well qualified staff of administrators, department heads, and employees to prepare for the growth that is certain to come.  Wildwood has certainly been discovered as the "Transportation Hub of Central Florida".

I currently serve as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust (PGIT), on the Board of Directors of the United Southern Bank, and am Past-President of the Wildwood Kiwanis Club.

I have been recognized by the Florida League of Cities for thirty (30) years as an elected official in the State of Florida.
