Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for all financial related activities in the City. The Department works with the City Manager to draft the annual budget for the City, monitors the budget throughout the year, invests the City's funds, coordinates the purchasing for all departments, and coordinates the annual audit and publication of the annual comprehensive financial report.

The Finance Department strives to maintain fiscal responsibility in the delivery of municipal services through the provision of timely, complete, and accurate financial information.  All financial transactions are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting principles as well as local, state, and federal laws. 

Annual audits are conducted by an external audit firm to ensure the city is in compliance with all applicable laws and accounting standards.
