Temporary Road Closure on North Warfield Avenue to Begin July 8
City of Wildwood officials are alerting motorists that a portion of North Warfield Avenue will close temporarily on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, for the installation of storm drainage infrastructure.
The closure will occur between Osceola Avenue and Barwick Street and is expected to continue for approximately two weeks. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
The city’s contractor, Art Walker Construction, will provide door-to-door notifications to affected residents before construction begins. Local access will be maintained for residents, first responders, and essential services. Motorists should follow posted detour signs and allow extra time if traveling through the area.
The work is part of the city’s Barwick Street Rehabilitation project, which includes roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, utility upgrades, and restoration work designed to reduce localized flooding, improve stormwater drainage, replace aging underground utilities, and extend the roadway’s lifespan.
