Treatment Facilities

The City of Wildwood operates a 3.55 Million Gallon per Day (MGD) Type I oxidation ditch, wastewater treatment plant. The plant consists of one mechanical bar screen, two flow equalization basins, four oxidation ditches, four clarifiers, two hydro-tech disc filters, two chlorine contact basins (with eight separate chambers), one aerobic sludge digester, and two lined reject holding ponds. This plant is operated to provide secondary treatment with high-level disinfection (using sodium hypochlorite) and meets Class I reliability.
